Detox Delayed Until 2009?

So the complete lack of any concrete information on Detox continues. Fans are left to either piece together information from artists who are working on Detox or make up their own news. Although it’d be fun to make something up, I’ve got some actual news tidbits for you to feast upon.

First, Scott Storch is being taken to court for late child support payments. As much as that sucks the emergency motion for Child Support TMZ obtained has a tasty morsel of Detox news. Supposedly Storch is California working with Dr Dre. I’ve included a highlighted screenshot below, but be sure to check out TMZ for the whole scoop if you get your rocks off reading court documents and another mans grief. Shout out to SoilSavy707 for the info.

Secondly, Bishop Lamont recently conducted an interview with HoodHype radio. In the excellent interview, Bishop talked about various issues and the topic of Detox predictably was brought up. Bishop claimed that Dre was considering pulling an “Eminem” and putting his album out before Detox. He said that the first single for The Reformation would be dropping in July and the album sometime in October. That would leave little to no time for Detox to drop in 2008 so if Bishop’s news holds it looks like Detox has been moved back to 2009. Oh well, I’m sure it’ll be hot. Plus we’ll hopefully have that Bishop album to bump.
